I think Mark Lipinski is probably a great guy to have dinner with, but his magazine is horrible. Who cares about the high school photos of notorious quilters? Who cares about the "quilt police" anymore???? Geez, honey, get over it, move on and do something different. The bitchy gay guy thing is just so old!

And why do all the quilt patterns in Quilter's Home look like someone spent 10 minutes on the quilter's software program? Where is the art in that??

PS-Just in case dear Mark accuses Crank-a-rella of anti-gay bias - honey, my son is gay and I am very proud of him.

Now get your tushie out there and do something original for a change!!

Why Do All The "New" Quilters Make Such God-Awful Quilts??

Let's be frank. Check out the latest quilt club offering from our friends at Fat Quarter Shop. "Central Park" is a joke. This is not a quilt, folks. This is an offering of a new fabric line from a major fabric producer. The "quilt" is plain, simple and dull. There is no art to it. It just sits there. Why? Because the producer just wants to sell the fabric. That's okay, because that is their job. But the Cranky Quilter sees this banal crap and wants to scream. There is SO MUCH happening in quilting now...and the producer turns out this sad excuse for a quilt.

Please protest and DON'T buy this.
